Senate Bill 1178

(Hyperlink above will take you to: http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/session2016/testimony/SB1178_TESTIMONY_CPN_02-05-15.pdf )

So far we have had many acupuncturists and supporters of acupuncture step up to assist with increasing our (long overdue) PIP pay increase.  Through the efforts of Joni Kroll, D.Ac., and testimony of herself, Wai Hoa Low, D.Ac., and many others in February 2015, we are making small steps toward our goals.

However, the process continues, as now we must ensure that our bill is heard through 3 committees in the House of Representatives as part of the process for 2016.

  1. We will monitor the "capitol.hawaii.gov" website daily and will notify you when it is scheduled.

  2. When it is scheduled, we only have 24 hours to submit testimony and prepare for the hearing.

  3. If you are planning testimonial from yourself or your patients, please prepare it now to submit online.

Please come to our informative meeting to understand the process:

Thursday, February 4th 7:00pm at ICAOM

  1. The Transportation Committee will review the bill first

  2. If it passes, it will move onwards to the Consumer Protection and Commerce Committee

  3. And finally, the Finance Committee.
